I came across these photos recently and found them fascinating!

I never knew that Lucille Ball kept an apartment at a Midtown hotel for years, complete with piano.

What a view!

Didn't she play Mame on Broadway?

Yes, neat photos!

Re: Lucy in NYC

The Hilton at 6th and 53rd.

It opened in 1963, 47 floors.

Lucy took a duplex penthouse shortly after it opened.   You can see The Plaza, a few blocks north.  You can also spot the corner of Central Park in the photos!  I bet she adored that view.

Lucy starred in the 1974 film version of MAME.

She never performed the role on a Broadway stage.

Angela Lansbury created the role on Broadway, replaced by Janis Paige

Stunning view--but Ms. Ball is even more beautiful!
