Nicely styled and coordinated, but just a little bit too much white.....it needs some contrast and muted color.........

It’s fine. I’m just not drawn to the furnishings or the way it’s decorated. Definitely needs color. I like the ceiling architecture, windows & doors, and built-ins.

I know I'm slightly color blind, but I see no color in this room.  Just light, medium and dark.

But I do like the room.........the fireplace, built ins and the furniture placement compliments access to the outside. Think I would change the chandelier, tho.

I love this room.  I have a similar color in my living room with white trim.  I think the brick fireplace breaks it up a bit.   To be honest I don't really know the meanings of all the names of looks, I had never heard of low country before, but guess that's because I am a northern girl.......I just know what appeals to me. @jubilant   I think your colors will work nicely together!

I have never heard if ‘low country’ before so new to me.

Just looks like regular style room to me - nicely done - I guess the country comes in with wooden strips over fireplace?  I like the colours but does need touch of brightness added somewhere.

I like the room but not the tables or light fixture.

The colors are nice and I like the brick.

Don't really understand the name associated with the look. It's a little too neutral.

I am not familiar with low country style.  This area is nice but to be honest, I would start from scratch with the furnishings and decor.  It looks too blah to me and needs change.

Re: Low Country Style?

@jubilant We've vacationed on the east coast in the area for 25 years, and Low Country is relaxed, and mixes modern with traditional, soft beachie colors, and natural elements.

If you imagine the room with a blue chair, you have my look except we don't have exposed brick in this house, but soft creamy white woodwork!

It's my favorite look.  Southern Home magazine often has a lot of it.   Go to southernhomemagazine.com and you'll be happy.

@Sooner   Thanks, I'll go there!  My pillows coming with my couch are an off white background with a large kind of colonial decor in equal amounts of color are dark blue, sand  (kind of a golden sand), and taupe. I found a picture of the pillow fabric but my computer shows them much more dull than they are so I didn't post them.

Your room sounds beautiful.   We have a wood ceiling so I can't go with the creamy white but I'm thinking of that for drapery.
