Re: Loving This Alternative To Duraflame!

We have a Duraflame at our cabin and it’s metal.  I went to Lowe’s yesterday and they had a tall one that looked similar to the TSV,  but it was all plastic, even the door.  My husband said no.  It was 28 inches high, which is what I wanted.  How do we know the TSV isn’t all plastic?  There is no description on what it’s made of.

Re: Loving This Alternative To Duraflame!

In the past I have purchased 2 stove heaters that were not Duraflame. They were lower priced and smaller so I thought they would fit in the space better.

They were different brands and both ended up making rattling noise and the fan got louder and louder. The one then started to smell like it was burning.

I have never had a problem with my Duraflame heaters. I will stick with them.

@GSPgirl. I have three of the Duraflame stoves,  similar to the current one, but the windows on the side are not mesh, but glass.  Everything except the door which is attached, and the feet which you attach, is metal.  The doors are textured, heavy plastic.

I've been very pleased with mine, especially to warm up an area in the early a.m. just to take the chill out of a room without turning the heat on.  Very handy during the transitional seasons like now.

The two more recent ones--2017 and 2015(?) are the cream color, and the oldest one is a dark green.  All three purchased from QVC and they work fine.

Thank you so much!  Glad you like them.  We love the one at our cabin. If it works at 10,000 feet in the mountains, it should work for me in the South.
