I probably should have posted this and the 'great room' picture together since the two spaces are in juxtaposition to each other... Personally, I love the ironwork on this stair railing and think the two spaces are quite appealing, though neither would normally be something I might choose. As for the foyer, I like the light fixture but, to me, the table set next to the staircase seems somewhat dwarfed. I'd probably also choose different objects for the table top, but the space does work as it is... As for the great room, while I'll get around to posting my thoughts on that space at some point, since they are most obvious in this photograph, I'll just say I love the clock but would have chosen a different chair, though this one works in the space...

@stevieb  I think that it is very pretty, but I grew up in the city and metal railings were for the outside steps.  I am not sure that I could get over that.
