When I just spent the last half hour on my butt cleaning the kitchen floor. We need a new floor. But I want something that will look nice and clean well - don't we all. The kitchen gets ALOT of traffic. It is the most popular route to the family room. And my husband is a runner (5-8 miles everyday) and so mud is a common byproduct of his travels through the house. And my son often rides his bicycle - so he walks through the house with his cleats. Our township stopped using salt when it snows and now uses gravel. So it is common for gravel to be tracked through the house too.
What would be the most durable flooring to get. I thought I wanted tile. But we have tile in our back entrance at work and half the tiles have cracked. The tiles are only 4 years old. And had thought the tiles would hold up better since the back entrance is not used often.
Appreciate your thoughts and opinions.
