Glass Top Stove - Weiman Glass Cook Top Heavy Duty Cleaner & Polish

Windows - Castle Streak Proof Glass Cleaner Professional Formula (used to get this at the car wash, recently found it on Amazon)

All around great cleaner for glass/mirrors/dusting/countertops/plumbing fixtures - Super Cloth (the European cleaning secret) when QVC is out of them can be found on Amazon. Hardly a day goes by I don't use one of these for something or other.

Re: Looking for cleaning supplies that really work.

You can't go wrong with good old Soft Scrub - bleach or non bleach for many things, especially stoves, toilets, tubs and sinks. For lighter cleaning, I use citrus-scented Lysol spray.

My apartment is all carpet except for my tiny kitchen, the hallway, and bathroom floor. I use a Swiffer Wet Jet mop. It's not hardwood, so it won't do any damage. They do make a special cleaner for hardwood floors. I love not having to wring out dirty water.

For windows and my storm door, I use Glass Plus or Windex.

Dusting - Swiffer duster with the extended handle.

General toilet bowl cleaning - Clorox wand with the snap-on sponges with cleaner already in them. You just press down and the solution comes out of the sponge. No touching anything with your hands, and you release the sponge into the trash with one click of the wand.

1.  What kind of stove top?  Most any type of general cleaner will work, especially one with a degreaser.

2.  RainX

3.  Depends on what you are trying to clean off the SS.  For something really dirty WD40.  For just dust and light dirt RainX.

These will all work with a little elbow grease.

@Imaoldhippie Rainx says it's for automotive glass on the label.  Is it safe for use on a shower door or storm door?

@Snoopp..................I use it on my windows, mirrors, stainless steel, microwave door.  I have used it for years and had no problem.  I prefer it over windex or other window cleaners.

I second the bioclean product for stainless steel and a glass cooktop but you must rinse thoroughly.

Re: Looking for cleaning supplies that really work.

@bonnielu I use vinegar and water mixed in a spray bottle and baking soda for all cleaning except windows I use straight vinegar.  In showers, I wet it down with the liquid mixture and sprinkle baking soda on and leave for a few minutes.  Then I just scrub in and all debris comes off easy as can be.  BTW everyone hates to smell my home when I clean.  Ha ha.

I have COPD and we can't use Clorox, Lysol, cleaning products, and any thing with a heavy scent as specialists claim they do more damage to the lungs.

Ironic that I have friends that never smoked but were Clorox crazy and they also have COPD and were never exposed to 2nd hand or 3 hand smoke and are on oxygen.

My Mom used all cleaning products and was exposed to 2nd hand smoke at times and she lived to be 89 and my Dad to 95 ~~~ so whom knows what is accurate info?

Would be nice if we all had maids would it not?

For dusting ,the best cloth is guardsman cloths, use until very dirty, then wash on delicate, hang to dry, they pick up all dust.

@Snoopp yes using regular Rain-x on the glass shower doors works great!  Rain-X also makes a product specific for shower doors.
