I did a half hour cardio workout yesterday in my shower in a few seconds trying not to fall in the shower because my mat is more slippery than the stall floor itself. I managed not to fall, whew.
I looking for recommendations for a nonslip shower mat.
Thanks

@Imaoldhippie I can't give any recommendations on a shower mat, because my shower floor is "textured" enough that I don't need one. But I do have a question--why do you workout in the shower? Is the water running when you do?
Honestly, I'm just curious as I've never heard of that.
ETA: Sorry, I completely mis-read this post! Thanks @catter70 for setting me straight!

At home, I have an old fashioned tub in my personal bathroom. I had the shower head changed out so I can either sit or stand to shower. I no longer stand at almost 80. There is a comfortable, wide stool for sitting and I can move my legs over the low tub wall to get out.
At the FL condo, there is a similar wide stool in the walk-in shower.
Until you find what works best for you, try using a hand towel for a mat. Wring it out when done and air dry inside or outside the shower. ( As a temporary drying aid, place a rod atop the side walls and roll back against the wall when showering. )

@vermint , I think she meant that trying not to fall was her workout, not that she was trying to workout on purpose in the shower.

@catter70 Thank you! I just re-read @Imaoldhippie's post--and you are right. I guess I'm not quite awake, my comprehension is usually better than this, lol!

Instead of using a mat I wear 'shower shoes'. I feel very secure that way plus my feet don't hurt from standing on the hard shower floor.

I cannot recommend a specific mat, but one should be easily found through a retailer such as Amazon or Temu. I have also seen some stick on the type of things for the floor of the tub or shower stall that help prevent slipping.

oddly enough I was on the hunt for a bathmat yesterday. I found them at Target and they ran between $10-15 and came in many colors. All with suction cups on the bottom to adher to the tub.

Best mat I've had is Rubbermaid and they last a long time. Got mine on Amazon a few yrs ago. I believe it was commercial grade or at least that was in the description.
