it feels like it must be commercial property ... and i wouldn't mind spending a weekend there, but it's way too dark for anything other.

@stevieb Good Heavens! How often would you have to dust??? It would take me all day every day!

Gorgeous woodwork and view.  I like to think that the over-pillowed sofa is facing a huge stone fireplace.

I think it's a beautiful room. Maybe the time of day and lighting is making it look darker than it really is.

The more I see it the more I like it.

@PA Mom-mom  Whether it's a home or a commercial property (and while I don't know for sure, I believe it is a private residence...), I suspect they have staff to take care of the dusting... Heck, given the size of that space, they might even have a cherry picker to reach the celings...

Re: Lodge on the Lake... Welcome...

I love the size and space of the room and it does look like a lodge!!!!  I have a small house up the road from a lake that is,comfortable and cozy.  While the space in this lodge is lovely, I prefer something smaller and not so open.

@stevieb

It's all about that gorgeous view!  That wall of windows is so pretty.

The inside is just too dark with all wood & dark furnishings.  IMO, it would be much nicer & welcoming with lighter colored furnishings.   I'd definitely replace the chandeliers.  All that being said, I'd love to be sitting on the deck admiring the scenery & relaxing with a book.

Thanks for sharing.
