Re: Living Room/Dining Room - DONE

You've brought just enough color in each room with the chairs in the living room and a brighter rug in the dining room. Excellent choices of textures and paints in both rooms to create a lovely feeling of two very different uses in a large, open space. Opening the ceiling was a creative idea, which enlarges the space!

I think the two separate rugs makes it feel more like two separate rooms, which would be what I was going for, to define each space separately and with it's own function.

Beautiful home!

The rooms look quite nice and no, I don't think it was necessary or even desirable that the rugs match.

So nice!

Before we downsized, I had a large L-shaped livingroom and diningroom, both done in Queen Anne furniture. It was nice when I needed more seating in the LR, I could bring out the dining chairs. I loved the way the two rooms *blended*.

Your 2 rooms are tastefully done. They look great.

I love how the two rugs are different...each room should have its own personality, and having two different rugs achieve that.

And your home is absolutely lovely...very welcoming and oh so comfortable looking!

You have the same hardwood floors in both rooms, so that's what ties it together and makes it flow.

The area rugs just further define each space.

It's perfect.
