This is from an article about someone who renovated and redid a rather tony townhouse... While, as someone who prefers a somewhat traditonal vibe and who tends to eschew modern art, I like some of the 'before' elements, there's no denying the 'after' version of this room makes a lovely statement...

It looks like somebody bought the place and took the picture of the former owners, before they started doing any work. 

I definitely like the after picture, I wonder what happened to the old marble fireplace?

Another 👍 for the after photo! I would add a bit more color and pattern by using print pillows instead of the solid ones.

Rather than a glass coffee table in the After pix, it would be more comfortable to have the ottoman there with a large serving tray for refreshments.

The after is definitely an improvement. I don't care for the art above the fireplace and would replace that but art is very personal and they must like it not me.

The after is a vast improvement.  Among other things, the furniture placement in the before is very strange.

I like the after quite a bit, actually.
