Just an FYI to folks that don't know yet...LR is leaving the Q in a couple of months, so enjoy the few decorating shows she has left.

<p style="line-height: 16px; margin: 0px 0px 12px; word-wrap: break-word; outline: none; color: #434343; font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif; padding: 0px; zoom: 1; font-size: 14px; background-color: #f2f2f2;"> I think her personal problems could have been a major part of her leaving too. Sad...she has had several stalkers over the years. I just finished reading a huge blog about it all.

<p style="line-height: 16px; margin: 0px 0px 12px; word-wrap: break-word; outline: none; color: #434343; font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif; padding: 0px; zoom: 1; font-size: 14px; background-color: #f2f2f2;"> She has a lot of talent, so she could be going in any number of directions related to fashion, charity/fundraising, etc.

<p style="line-height: 16px; margin: 0px 0px 12px; word-wrap: break-word; outline: none; color: #434343; font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif; padding: 0px; zoom: 1; font-size: 14px; background-color: #f2f2f2;"> Here is her blog post:

<p style="line-height: 16px; margin: 0px 0px 12px; word-wrap: break-word; outline: none; color: #434343; font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif; padding: 0px; zoom: 1; font-size: 14px; background-color: #f2f2f2;"> http://community.qvc.com/blogs/beauty-banter/topic/473705/i-think-its-time-for-a-new-adventure.aspx

<p style="line-height: 16px; margin: 0px 0px 12px; word-wrap: break-word; outline: none; color: #434343; font-family: Arial, helvetica, sans-serif; padding: 0px; zoom: 1; font-size: 14px; background-color: #f2f2f2;"> I hope you will find peace and happiness in your new adventure Lisa...you will be missed!

This is all over the forums, don't see why you felt it necessary to repeat it, but I think it's so sad that your opinion of why she is leaving is your true reason for posting this. You couldn't be more wrong !

You don't give Lisa enough credit. Her next career is already lined up. I wish people would quit telling everybody what her next career is or could be. We can all think for ourselves.

All over the forums?

Who are you to consider yourself so high and mighty to be judging me and my reason for posting some of the particular info I posted here into other threads too. YOU could not be more wrong!

I have no doubt Lisa will have a wonderful, productive future doing something that will make her happy. I support her 100%. I put some of the info I posted above in a couple of other threads to pass on info I personally just found out about myself I didn't know. Why? Because there are many folks who care about her!

I am hardly ever on the Beauty and Fashion forums...only recently about L'Occitaine products...and weeks ago for IM scarves I started threads about. I did not know about Lisa's problems before tonight. So, if that information was posted for days/weeks/months I certainly didn't read any of those threads/posts! If I didn't go back to read more info about the L'Occitaine products tonight, I would not have seen the threads about LR leaving since I rarely watch any beauty/fashion shows unless it's a product I use or clothes I wear like D&Co, Clark's shoes, D&B handbags or if I want another IM scarf!

So, you're assumptions are wrong!

I personally believe a part (no matter how big or small) of her wanting/needing to change is what I posted. That is my opinion...period.

Have you ever been stalked?

I have! {#emotions_dlg.sad}

Thanks, SL. I should probably give them a try.

You're welcome Smile

I just ordered 2 more sets of the champagne. Since LR is leaving, I don't see her products being restocked again and I plan on using these picks for several years. I just got a couple of the matching champagne cedar wreaths a couple of months ago before they sold out.

I'm very sad LR is leaving. Although I am no means a fashionista, I did enjoy her as a person/host and her decor shows. I am very grateful for the wonderful products I got of hers she brought to the Q...like the white owls, cedar pics/wreaths, the wonderful vintage Santas, bay leaf pics, the stunning sequin/glitter trees, etc...and her style and grace...

Hi, SL. Just a guess, but I think that if the style of decor that was chosen for Lisa R to present was successful, QVC will continue to expand in that direction and offer similar things in the future. They could either sell them as part of a generic decorating show, or maybe have another host attach their name to them. The items were chosen from the same items that VPH chooses from.

I have recently learned that the ignore user feature is a valuable tool. Well, valuable unless that person is quoted. HTH!

Hi SHOPR,

Thank you...point taken Smile

As for any excess glitter, 95% of the time, I bring the box of new 'glitter' decor outside and just blow it all off with a leaf blower (holding 1-3 picks at a time in one of my hands and the leaf blower in the other hand. With the picks, after I blow off the excess glitter, I keep each kind in a separate large clear plastic bag and then lay them all in a plastic storage tub like this one at Menards dot com (SKU# 6455002). It makes it so easy to choose whick picks I want when I can see them all in view at the same time.

The only decor I didn't use the leaf blower on was the LR sequined/glittered trees. Other than what was in the box, very little falls off. However, before I put the trees away after the holidays are over, I will 'gently' blow the dust off with the leaf blower on low then put each of their plastic cone covers back on each one. I do that with several decor pieces I can't dust off by hand...even our Christmas tree with the leaf blower outside on the medium-high setting (before I put the lights and decorations on it)! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

A few things I do keep in the original boxes...like LR's MG birds (those are great boxes!) and wreaths...however, most decor I usually find my own way to store them with bubble wrap or paper stuffing (the brown paper strands of good thick paper) that will come in boxes that were delivered to us from an order...usually DH gets that stuffing when he orders electronical/tech products for the pute, our laptop and such.

Hi Susan Louise, I love the way you pass along helpful info with so much detail. I also have an old hair dryer that has just a setting for "air" and I use that a lot since it has a low setting too.

I got my sequined Champagne set of Lisa's trees and they are lovely too. I'm so happy to have the white and Champagne ones.

Susan Louise so sorry you had to experience an unwarranted and unprovoked attack by a poster who is all over the Lisa threads with his/her own unasked for opinions. Nothing you stated was out of line or offensive. I appreciate your views on the subject. I like SHOPRs reply. Thanks for the heads up. Take care and don't let the fools who invade our cozy home dec threads get you down! IGNORE, as the sage SHOPR said!!

Re: Lisa's 12 Cedar Picks Available in Champagne

Thanks, SL, for all of the helpful suggestions above. I had to laugh when visualizing you with your leaf blower and all your decor, probably because ours is a gas powered Husqvarna, and boy does it cause a stir! :-) Great idea, though, and one I will probably use if I get these picks.
