Not unless it's a strictly for show bathroom.  The steam would eventually ruin the artwork and books.

This is just the strangest bathroom I've ever seen.....! Then again, I'm only 71 so maybe I need to see a few more! LOL!

I think it is a bad idea to have the books and that kind of artwork in the bathroom.  Sometimes there is steam from the hot water so it's a bad idea.  Keep the books in a library/den.

Since no one reads books anymore, they are now used for decor.  I see it all the time in HGTV shows.  I am reclaiming most of my book space, plan to replace most of my bookshelves with storage.  Keeping only art and picture books, most of the books I buy now are on kindle. Once you buy them, they don't deteriorate and I don't have to buy them again, and they don't take space in my small apartment.  The only downside is I can't pass them along.  The wall space that doesn't have furniture in my apartment has artwork hung on the wall, not on bookshelves!
