Too industrial looking for a home and out of scale for the room.

Looks like a mistake and out of place in the room.  Leaving it at the one large base rectangular light would still not have been my choice, but preferable.

@phoenixbrdlol  I had a singular retangle wood-trimmed light fixture in one of my homes.  It was there when I bought the house, it was there when I sold it years later.  I hated it.  Long story.....

There is nothing "right" in this room, but the light does match everything else.  One of the poorest modern designs I've seen.  Nothing at all comfortable and welcoming.  All straight lines except the chairs at the table and the wooden things in the middle of the room pretending to be a coffee table. 

Pictures are too small and hung too high on the wall.  And wall color????....yuck!!!  Too much bare floor showing.  

Is this really in someone's house or is it an office lounge?  Looks like something found in a Microsoft or other techi office.  

Overall it gets an F-.

I'm fine with everything but the horrid light.  We had a cat that would always crawl on the floor to get under the ceiling fan and across the room when the fan was on.  That's how I feel about this.

Maybe if it was smaller...or the angle that the picture was taken makes it look bigger? The base looks very unprofessional and sloppy.
