Laundry question - getting dried blood stains out

DS came home for the summer with a few dried blood stains on his shirt - it's a very light cotton (Hollister type) and grey and white wide stripes, so I can't use my usual bleach with a q-tip that always seems to work for me. I've soaked it, used Dawn - my go to, and used Ivory soap. Nothing has worked. Any advice? TIA! Smile

Do we need to call CSI? Have you tried soaking for 10 minutes in a mild Ammonia solution?

It's always a victory for me when I remember why I entered a room.

You might try soaking in 20 Mule Train Borax.

I use hydrogen peroxide. My friend who is a firefighter taught the trick to me. It's what he uses to get blood off his clothes.

yes hydrogen peroxide, just don't leave it on for too long or it will start to damage the fabric.

It was recommend to me by homebirth midwives for clean up and a little salt in the wash

You could also try cheap hairspray (the more alcohol the better!).
