@LTT1, I love this lantern scene.

I saw yesterday morning where you had asked someone (a new poster who bumped up one of your old threads) if this is the lantern that she sells in her store.  I did not see any replies after that point.

Now I see that it got deleted by moderators.  Did you ever find out if this specific lantern is for sale anywhere?  Anything you may have learned, please share, because I have always wanted one of these lanterns.  I know that links and promoting are not allowed, but hopefully your reply to my question will be allowed.  Thanks.

@SHOPR, have you looked at Amazon, they have pages of decorative lanterns. I did not look at all of them, but you might find something similar to what you are looking for there. HTH

@SHOPR

The reason it was deleted is that the poster included their email addy... which BTW was bogus.

This was a sly way to obtain MY email address, I suppose.

The email address was misspelled and belonged to no one... so it must have been spam.

If one googles an email addy, it can be traced back to a "person."  This one yielded nobody and I wasn't about to take a chance by actually emailing it at all... SO BE CAREFUL.

I THANK THE MODERATORS FOR DELETING the message-- not only did it appear to be soliciting, but it could have been unsafe.

@SHOPR@Snicks1

On the boards here we have all enjoyed that picture during this time of the year.  I have saved the picture.  Have NEVER been able to trace the original seller.  I believe it first appeared on Facebook, and that link is no longer viable.

Pinterest may be a source... but it led me right back to the bogus post! : ) HTH

I just love this lantern and winter scene.  I was thinking how easily that scene inside could be changed for the seasons.  I really like an "Early American" look for my home, and this sure fits the bill.  If anyone can find a source for this lantern, I sure would appreciate a heads-up.  Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you for these sources.  I have just been on Wayfair, and they do have some good stuff.  Found a few on Target, as I guess they have taken over the Smith and Hawken (sp?).  But I did see one with a bad review.  No glass, just clear plastic.  yuck.

@PamfromCT

Based on the non-availabilty of this lantern, which I think I mentioned originally came from FB, it seems that the details involved would probably only be present in a vintage lantern.

One year I did see some beautifully made (furniture-grade) old lanterns online, not for sale, simply as part of Christmas decor. (as if old family pieces)

The glass houses get good reviews from Am... however, people note that these are mostly very small and even putting a tealight in them presents a challenge.

Will let you know here if I find out anything more... ever!

They frequently have a variety of nice lanterns on Zulily but you have to check daily.

@Snicks1, Thanks for the reminder about Amazon lanterns.  I have looked there before, but not in a long time.  I have plenty of lanterns and am actuallly not needing to buy one right now, but, I really like the specific one in this OP and also the red one on Valerie's set with the arched top along the window.  When I saw that someone bumped up an old lantern thread, I hoped it was with real information on where to get this white one that several of us have admired for a few years now.  Oh well. I will let it go.  LOL.

Thanks @LTT1 for filling me in on what took place.  It's good that you were careful and didn't email, just in case.  I have saved the picture on PInterest, but like you have seen, it just links back to an unavailable Facebook page.  It is very pretty, but I'm over it.  LOL.
