Anyone looking for a sturdy, but light enough to carry ladder, see below. I purchase a Little Giant for DH earlier this year from here, but it is too heavy for me to carry around, so found another made by Little giant at Amazon.

Flip-N-Lite 300-Pound Duty Rating Platform Stepladder, 6-Foot
by Little Giant Ladder Systems
This ladder is a dream! I carry it from room to room as needed, and I feel very secure on it while painting or doing whatever else requires a ladder.

Seems like you never think about something like 'the right ladder' until you really need it. We can go months and not need one, but when we do, I find it hard to work with what we do have. I considered checking in to these in the past, and will have to do so.

The older I get, the more I realize how dangerous it can be do try to work with the wrong or inadequate equipment.

You're welcome everyone. I carry this ladder around with a smile on my face because I know I don't have to wait for DH to get home to help me, and I can get accomplished what I want to. I store it between the washing machine and shelving unit for easy access to the kitchen which is where I use it the most, but I will be decorating the tree from it, and won't have to balance myself with one hand on the ceiling and an ornament in the other, from the rickety old ladder I used to use.
