Re: LR Christmas items are such high quality.

Okay, let me get this straight.  Jonnysbro, who posts here about LR every week or two, is OBSESSED, but those who constantly post on the Previously TV blog and trash every aspect of LR are not?  Those posters (including many of the same people who flock to any Jonnysbro post here to criticize) are on that blog every single day, even multiple times a day.  They dissect every picture and video LR posts; they circle every little perceived flaw in her decorating displays; they trash her business and merchandise and customers; they trash her personally; they trash every body part; they even trash her family.  That’s not nasty, raunchy, obsessive, just plain sick?  They know where she lives, what houses are for sale in her neighborhood, what family members she visits, what all her family members do for a living.  Compared to that unnatural obsession for someone who is “just a former shopping channel host” and who “hasn’t been on air for three years,” Jonnysbro’s posts seem very tame.

A. It's not a blog, it's a forum just like this QVC forum is.

B. Posts on it comply with the site's rules, which contain the same admonitions regarding hate speech, trolling and the like that all moderated forums do.

C. All points of view are tolerated and the posters definitely do not call the ones they disagree with names. They self-police themselves that way.

D. The whole point of the Lisa thread was to split the discussion about her home shopping  business off of the main QVC thread, since some posters have absolutely no interest in her, while others do.

E. The purpose of the Lisa thread is to allow open and frank discussion of her business and her postings. Everything on there are items, pictures, and most importantly information that she has made public. People tend to find their way there after they've been abruptly banned by Lisa's site for asking questions that on any other business website would be answered promptly and courageously, or for making a critical comment.

F. It was not created to be a praise-only board. Snark is definitely allowed and welcomed just as it is allowed on all the vast number threads about all the shows, channels and topics under the umbrella of the main forum.

It may not be to your taste, but by bashing it without accurately stating its purpose is just doing the same work as the OP, albeit in a reverse fashion. We all tend to congregate at websites that have some interesting feature to us. What one likes another may not, and vice versa. The point is, if the participants are happy with the way their hangout is run and they enjoy being there, then that's all that matters. Posting in forums is not an either/or situation, like supporting one sports team over another. They all serve different needs at different times.

Balletbabe,

I remember LR stating she had no pets or kids and was just as happy as could be.  She also has a house that must be a showcase and she makes her guests take their shoes off when they enter.  You have to wear really cute socks to her house!

@maximillian  Well maybe Muk Luks?  LOL  I don't need toworry about that, because I have no intention on visiting her.  I do not go to er site or her facebook page.  I did follow her for awhile when she first left, but once she started her business and playing on the ipad and scratching, I couldn't take it anymore.  I also don't understand being stalked a few times in my life , why she posts so much information about herself.  People that have been stalked don't do that.  You also are more careful what you wear if you know what I mean.

Having no pets, no husband, and no children is strange to me. Let's face it, she is all about herself.

I seem to have struck a nerve with some of you.  You are free, of course, to veer away from my point and turn it back on me if you want.  However, quite simply, I reiterate my opinion that an occasional post by Jonnysbro to stir the pot is mild in comparison to the unhealthy obsession of the posters on the other site, to whom I referred in my earlier post, who appear to be addicted to their noxious dislike for this woman.  I am not debating the existence of the forum or peoples' right to post whatever they want.  However, my opinion is that it is a highly pernicious pastime.

@insomniac2  You can take your heart back by hearting the post again.  You then see that the number of hearts has decreased by 1.

Last night while reading a couple of threads here, I noticed the way I scroll with my iPad, my thumb was hitting all the heart buttons.  Taking them away from some and giving them to others. Took me a while to realize what was occurring.

Just a mistake.

I just bought a xmas item from LR and it was HORRIBLE quality.  Cheap, cheap, cheap.  Lesson learned.

@pinkcrystal Did you think of returning?  I once looked at her return policy.  It seemed that there were quite a few "hoops to jump thru".  Doesn't sound easy to me.

No I just chalked it up to a forty dollar lesson learned.
