LONDONER'S AIRY TOWNHOUSE

[ Edited ]

Those old townhouses in London have the potential to be a bit dour, so I thought this charming treatment was noteworthy.  There are the usual quirky, only-in-Britain touches-- I can't see too many American designers going for that riotous floral curtain fabric in the breakfast area, etc.!   But that's what I love about the Brits...

That fat vase on top of the skinny handkerchief chest-- love.

Cozy, cheerful living room...

ETA--That's hilarious-- I commented above about the wild floral print in the breakfast area curtains, then forgot to post the picture.  Here it is, belatedly.

My favorite--  soothing bedroom with rooftop views...

Traditional, yes, with all the mellow dark woods and lovely antiques, but, somehow, easy-breezy.   Almost seems more 'Cornwall' than London!  A nice perch in which to decompress from the city...

Lovely!  It almost has a beachy feel with those colors.  Townhomes can be so dark inside as they often have stained wood paneling and such.  This was bright.
