Re: LISA R'S CLOCHE DECORATED.

Very nice, lucymo. I've been having fun with cloches this year also. And to think that I didn't even know what a cloche was last year at this time! This board is very educational!

Snickster, I'm sorry you misinterpreted my post. I wasn't being NASTY, that wasn't my point at all !

I'm just so blown away by the number of people who feel compelled to decorate with their cloche, which Lisa did make a big deal out of selling, and then they all posted pictures of it as if they were all bragging as if saying "Look at me, look at mine" ! Home decor items are sold all year long, but Lisa has gone overboard with her cloche item, as if it was a big push to get it out there. she wrote about it a lot, took pictures, and obviously stirred up a lot of publicity about it. More than usual items throughout the year or any holiday items. Now it's a contest almost.

I got tickled at the number of homes now that have new cloche's, which probably wouldn't, if Lisa hadn't done her big selling job ! They weren't cheap either ! So, she did her job well !! But I fail to see why everyone feels the need to get theirs advertised on the forums, almost like it's a contest to see who made the prettiest !

Trust me, I have NOTHING against decorating, I think it's nice as long as it's tasteful and not overdone, certainly not like the Griswold's.

My thoughts are more about human nature, societal trends, marketing, and the results of electronic trends and sales, and Lisa's ability to sell a certain item, more than you think it was a NASTY attack on any particular person.

I guess if you can't relay an opinion without people being able to hear emotion, voice inflection, etc., your personality isn't going to come across as you intended it to. My bad. Sorry.

But I still think it's funny! Smile{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

Fair enough. Sorry if I took it the wrong way. I'm not into the cloche thing, either. How much do those go for, anyway?

</ I think the whole point of your post was to criticize and demean Lisa and that's it in a nutshell!

Re: LISA R'S CLOCHE DECORATED.

Thanks Lucy! I love it. I hope others post pictures so we get some good ideas from all you talented ladies. So Lisa presented a Cloche that some us bought and really like. What is the big deal. There is a lot of nonsense on these forums lately. I don't get it. If your not interested in the subject, move on. It's that simple.

Your photo looks lovely lucymo. I would put my photo up but I am not very computer savvy. Maybe my DH can help me.

I am really wanting to do a Snowman theme but it's September so just used what I had for fall. Maybe some just don't like to see others having fun with anything, I really don't know and to be honest, don't really care. I don't let people bring me down with their attitudes. I hope you have fun with yours.

Re: LISA R'S CLOCHE DECORATED.

Hi Lucy: I think you did a great job. You'll have plenty of time to craft the perfect snowman theme for Christmas. Enjoy it.

JPC: Just saw your ""wave out"" so I'm waving back!! Hope all went well with the quilting club. DH is doing his lecture to our local club on Monday. He's really looking forward to it. Told him to scout out the goods while he's there. . He just shook his head at me.

Have a good day y'all.

I'm trying to learn to resize my pictures. I'd be happy to tell you how I got my picture on here if that would help you. I'll be looking for Myrtle. {#emotions_dlg.w00t}

There may be a sure method of resizing, but if so, I don't know it.

Here is what I do: Example, This is a screen capture from one of Valerie's videos. I click Edit, Resize, and notice that the Width is 987 and Height is 571. (It is way too big so I just deleted that example from this post.)

I change the Width to 650, and Save. Then I copy and paste the new image here to see how it fits:

I see that's a bit too big, so I change the width again, to 575:

It's getting closer.
