I have to say I really like kohls. I think with coupons and all the rewards you can get stuff really cheap. But this one really makes me think. I have my eye on a bar stool. It was on sale last week for 74.99. I thought oh if I can get a 30% off what a great deal. Now this week it is 159.99 and get the second half off. What the heck. It's cheaper to buy two at 74.99. I don't get this one. I am defintly going to order it when it is 74.99 and I have a coupon.

The stores that offer coupons all play those games. I have a couple of things on my wish list at Chico's, and the prices for those items changes every time their promotions change. If it is 40% off, the price will go up to make up for sale!  And don't get me started on Macy's coupons: there are so many exclusions on them that it takes about 5 minutes to read them out loud! Even the Friends and Family sale that says it includs designer items doesn't include Brahmin, Kate Spade and many others.

  Shopping shouldn't be so hard!

Personally I don't care for the games Kohls plays. It's ridiculous and not something I have time for.  With their it's this price at this time and that price at that time and if you use our credit card and Kohls Kash and coupons and blah blah blah. I don't find the quality of their merchandise to be so good that I would ever play along. Maybe for the younger generation but not for me. I find this circus like program they run exhausting.   No offense to those who like it, to each their own.

Peace,

Mint

It is a full time job to shop sales/use coupons. It's not easy, but if I know I can get a better deal I have to do my best.

Sometimes it's just not worth it & I pay what I pay to get what I need.

I was wanting a Shark vacuum from Kohl's, but it wasn't something I needed to have, so I played the game.

Waited for a good sale+coupon+ebates & got a great deal, but it took a while & watching a lot of price jumping until I got the best combo I could.

I'm not a fan of Kohls and their kohls cash and coupons.  It makes the prices go all over the place.

I agree - that store is ridiculous!

Have not shopped there in quite a few years.... and won't be going back...

I am hoping I can time this right and get a good Ebates too. But since I don't even need it until NOv or DEC I will play the waiting game. That's what I did with the stuff I got for the bathroom. I ended up getting it half off plus a 12% Ebates. It makes it easier when you actually don't need it right away. It would be in storage anyway.

Re: Kohls ridiculous

I used to buy all my clothes there until I discovered vanity. But now vanity is out of business so I don't know what I will do. Luckily I bought so much from vanity I won't need any clothes for a long time. Although I do have my eye on a couple tops at pennies.

I agree their sales/prices are all over the place, but every now and then I find some good ones. If you have the time and patience, hit their clearance racks.  I always use coupons or Kohls cash.  I got my Beachwaver there for about $70.00.  Just this weekend they had most of the store for 50% off.  Was able to get 3 men's Levi's shirts, 2 pairs of women's workout shorts, and 1 Nike tank top all for $100- awesome! Especially when you compare that to QVC pricing and their crazy shipping/handling/return practices.  You'd never be able to order that much clothing from the Q for only $100.

Oh. Maybe that's why the stool was so cheap. It was half off.
