So comfortable and livable-- the kind of kitchen where you can curl up on the window seat and relax.  Also really love that he used a creamy, gentle-on-the-eyes white paint color, not the bright, sterile white that has become a kitchen cliche in recent years...

I've always wanted a couch and comfy chairs in the kitchen 'cause everyone always hangs out in the kitchen; the other rooms only get used occasionally.

My brother and wife have a sitting area in their kitchen which is the gathering place for family events.  It was her dream to have a spacious kitchen many years ago and it was so worth all the renovation and cost!

I really like this. Although I would probably find other things other than books for the shelving, but I do really like the space! Very cozy..
