Re: Kitchen Island Banquette

That banquette looms like the chiropractor special.  Fifteen minutes of sitting in that and I'd need medical treatment.  Good for kids only.

Yes, that too.   Why must we have matching kitchens and bathrooms?    But then, nothing in my house matches.  Very eclectic.

Re: Kitchen Island Banquette

The kitchen itself is kind of bland and I've never been a fan of banquette seating.  It's hard and uncomfortable.

Re: Kitchen Island Banquette

I love Banquette's, but this one looks too stark and uncomfortable. The kitchen is nice, but needs some color and I prefer my kitchens to be a bit more cozy than this one. I do love the idea of banquettes though!

Re: Kitchen Island Banquette

I dont like the banquette.  It looks very uncomfortable.  I also hate sitting on a bench.  I need a back to my seat.  I do love the windows.

I like the idea of the Banquette....for space saving purposes.

If one analyzes it, there’s not much counter space.

I would opt for a traditional, functional, island with additional sink but

I have a feeling this home is really, teeny tiny.

Those aren't windows.  They're upper cabinets with glass fronts.

Didn’t even think of glass fronts.

A pretty feature I haven’t seen styled like this.

Re: Kitchen Island Banquette

There is nothing I like about this kitchen, it is cold and sterile and not welcoming.  Also it looks like there is little room to move around in, a big NO.

Re: Kitchen Island Banquette

This is a small kitchen area.

The kitchen banquette is a poor design for the room and unpractical.

The seating would be very uncomfortable. Not of fan of bench seating.

Re: Kitchen Island Banquette

This is a beautiful kitchen.

I prefer lighter wood floors though.  The banquette I'm on the fence about .. it looks good, but if the seating is full, what a pain if someone in the center area needs to get out .. just a thought to consider.  I prefer either higher counters w/ stools or a kitchen table set.  I like the option of being able to rearrange.

The sink window is perfect to look out at nature.  I wouldn't mind having this kitchen at all.

Re: Kitchen Island Banquette

The kitchen has some nice features, but I can't get past that banquette which aside from looking uncomfortable, would be a head banging nightmare if you were on the countertop side.  Imagine knocking the back of your head on that stone countertop if you happened to move wrong.
