Kitchen: Before and After...

[ Edited ]

Would be nice if the two pictures showed the full area, but yes, this is the same kitchen. Honestly, I like the cozy warmth of the first, but the light and bright and nice appointmets of the second. I'd also rather have the eat-in table than that massive island, though it is a nice color.

I love the charm of the first.  I'd open those doors and enjoy coffee there.

Definitely prefer the second one--clean, modern.  Is that wallpaper in the first kitchen??

I like the first because it is comfy cozy, welcoming, and has a lot of character.  I'd enjoy coffee at the table looking out the French Doors.

I don't care for the wallpaper, though.  I'd add a bit more color.

After is so typical of similar blah cookie cutter neutrals that for me have become so tiring and lack interest.  Too sterile and uncomfortable for me.

The first has a little more of a country vibe , to me . It's nice , but I love everything about the second picture .

Re: Kitchen: Before and After...

I liked both for different reasons, but I don't like sinks in islands.  I just know I would slop water over the back edge.  Besides, I'd rather look out the window when doing prep or clean-up work.

I disliked the floor in the Before version, but loved the pink and white stripes and cozy table.

I like the warmth of the first one. The doors are nice. I don't like the wallpaper, and the floor looks dingy.

I like the bright clean look of the second one with white cabinets & green touches. I'd prefer a darker counter to offset all the white.

I actually like the first one better except I would change the floor and wallpaper.

The second one is too sterile and it's hard to compare them because of the angles of the pics. Where are the doors in the second one?

Re: Kitchen: Before and After...

I would choose the after kitchen but there would have to be a large dining table beyond that island. A dining table is a must for me in a kitchen

The before kitchen isn't horrible... some decor changes would make a big difference. The wallpaper and floor would have to go.

I prefer charm too but the new one could be altered to my liking. I like table and chairs instead of an island, paint the walls, a darker countertop and change the gold hardware. I like the hardwood floor.
