Re: Keeping hardwood floors clean

Just pour some white vinegar in the water when you clean your floor. It will clean nicely, the floors look shiny and happy and not slippery.

This is one old fashion European way, my oak floors love it!

As long as I don't leave standing water on mine they look great. I was told not to use it but nothing else works.

I use Bona but I have used a Bissell steam mop.  Bona takes a ton of elbow grease though.  I have a dog that spits on the floor in my kitchen and leaves spots after trying to lick a crumb off the floor.

@Suzeecat  Take a look at Bissell cleaning machines.  I know they offer a range of products.  I lived with wood floors and you use a dust mop weekly but if you want to a better clean then I would turn to a machine.

Swifter often. Light steam clean four times a year. That tiny bit of moisture doesn't hurt.
