Thought I'd give you a "chuckle" I finally took the plunge...signed the contract for the new floors today.  They won't do them until end of November (or sooner if they can).

Actually, spouse said he couldn't believe I waited so long😉

Best thing thou I decided to sell many pieces of accent furniture, coffee tables & end tables, misc dishware, kitchen things,holiday decor & more...so I got in the true mood to get on track to more space!

Now, he's "stressing" cuz I want new furniture ...as they say "one thing leads to another"😉

I can't wait to hear what floor you selected.  You just want an excuse to go shopping....BIGTIME.  You'll have a blast getting new stuff.

The majority of the male species do not have a clue when it comes to those things.  What you start with, in their minds, are supposed to last forever.  New furniture?  "There's nothing wrong with what we have" (purchased fifteen years, or more, ago.)  He probably will love the new look after you choose the furniture you are going to buy.

It reminds me of an episode of I Love Lucy how one change leads to another and another....  But in any event----enjoy your new room!

Someone stole my "cheapo, "what's wrong with what we have", "why do you need that" husband into "yeah maybe it's time to update!" 

He said today on the way home from the cardiologist "Why don't you have a home sale" then take that $$$ and put towards what you want".

I almost drove off the highway from shock...lol!

So I casually said "I plan to including the dining room and living room set" I found what I want"....I waited for a negative response...

Nope -- he said "go for it!"...

Whoever took the old spouse thanks for bringing me a better model😉🙂

Now what flooring did you select?  The suspense is killing me.

@homedecor1. I had a bet with myself that you'd choose a gray or driftwood.  Its going to be so much easier to maintain.  Can't wait to see it finished.

Yes the color is beachside driftwood.  I'm hoping it's not to "grey" I put it in the foyer to see the color.🤞🏻

My other choice was: dusk cherry but they don't have this at the contractors source.  I would need 47 boxes @ $58/box if bought at HD.

This is the new pieces for DR I chose: Not sure I want a hutch again🤷‍♀️

(of course I'll wait till floors are down)

It always takes me awhile to make up my mind but I do know I do not want "dark" furniture anymore!!!
