Are you familiar with the British writer Rosamunde Pilcher?

I've read several of her novels, and also own the two books of her personal life: "The World of Rosamunde Pilcher" as well as "Christmas with Rosamunde Pilcher."

Inside each are any number of pictures of her home.  Some of those remind me of the original photo you posted.
