I like it very much I like primitive pieces and the primitive homes from the 1600's in Ipswich Mass.

I agree that I might put the snowmen and the children closer to the house, maybe some small greens on the side, and some greens underneath the table

It looks very nice and has a inviting look about it! And to decorate during a renovation is an impressive feat!

I would probably put the two snowmen closer to the house with the red candle between them.  And once you add lights inside the house, it really doesn't need anything else.

Firstly, love the simplicity.  Secondly, if you want more trees, on the left, I would move the tree closer and add the other tree to the outer end.

On the candle side, I would simply add a tree in back of the candle.
