Re: It's Christmas in the Neighborhood...

Lovely.  My inside is decorated but I will decorate a little bit outside on Thursday.  I am getting too old to handle major outside decorating, but I am ready to put out what I have.

Very charming home!  I would replace the santa and sleigh with a manger scene, the true meaning of Christmas, but otherwise, I think there's enough whimsy for that side of it.

Looks like it could be an English cottage.  Well done.

Re: It's Christmas in the Neighborhood...

I noticed a few Christmas decorations out on Friday. So happy to see them.

And they were next to the Thanksgiving decorations. It is so nice to go through the neighborhood and seeing all the decorations.

This is so cheery and bright, but I'm like you, I'd probably do something other than the Santa decorations.

I wonder if the owner bought that house so he/she could "do Christmas"?  Its the perfect house for it.

Re: It's Christmas in the Neighborhood...

It is pretty.  I figured it wasn't the poster's house because when I looked at the roof, I didn't see any places where the roof was showing through the snow.

The heat from the house usually causes areas where the snow is melted.

I guess I'm lucky, because I live on a dead end street, so I don't think it would get stolen; but then not a lot of people would see it.

Re: It's Christmas in the Neighborhood...

Just enchanting!  I would cull some of the outdoor decor, as some others have mentioned.  But this looks like a lovely Tudor home, a style popular some time back.  I have only been inside one Tudor, which had gorgeous heavy oak woodwork throughout.  We don’t have any Tudors that I know of where I live, but some a few towns away.  I drool every time we drive by.

@stevieb This reminds me of a Rockefeller card or Thomas Kincade painting.  It says Christmas of yesteryear!
