Re: Is the "Q" discontinuing Royal Palace rugs?

I'm sorry - for some reason, I couldn't get it to post....and then it posted twice. Thanks for responding.

I've looked on many web sites and other retailers, but find their prices to be very high in comparison. We prefer wool to synthetic.

If possible, could your post a description or link or picture of the Royal Palace rug TSV if it's mentioned in the Q Insider? I love these rugs and have been waiting for this.

I agree with you. I have Royal Palace rugs from 10+ years ago, that look brand new. They're timeless and elegant - also made very well. I don't feel rugs go out of style. I would not want a "modern" geometric type rug in my home. I'm sticking with traditional.

Totally agree, and one of my 2 room sized rugs went through a terrble disaster and emerged as beautiful as it was before the deluge.

@novamc1- neither of mine shed terrbly. When the newer of my 2 (about10-12 years old) was delivered, it made little puff balls of loose wool for a couple months, then no more.

The "older" of my two was, I thought, RUINED after a pipe broke in a shower one floor above it, and it took a direct hit.

My DH, knowing I was heartbroken at the mess, told me to have it cleand and see how it turned out.

When it left my house, the poor light colored medallion style rug was covered with black shower trap waste- you can imagine how it looked- and when it returned, I couldn't fnd a single place where a stain remained.

I have lived in two traditional styled houses, one a '20's bungalow, the second a midcentury ranch, and I love them for their heritage and character, and that's how I feel most comfortable decorating them.

Unless there has been some drastic change,  I consider RP rugs one of the Q's very best buys.

Here's my view, FWIW - Often a company will be phasing out older designs and it can look like they are going away.  But they are just moving out the former designs to bring in the newer ones.
