Iowa and/or Indiana

A friend of mine and I are going on a week or so road trip the first part of May and would love your suggestions on places to stop .... flea markets , homemade markets , antique and/or second hand shops , great home cooking , outdoor spots , great nontourist places and good , safe places to park our RV for the night. Thanks alot in advance !!
