Re: Inviting Industrial Space

I like this space. I am liking black trim and accents of black or dark charcoal more and more.

I would have to switch out that sofa for something more comfortable...it looks stiff and very uncomfortable to me.

I like the black accents too.  I think I've mentioned a couple of times that I am really into the new-ish black window trim look that has become popular of late.

@faeriemoon ,

A house down the street from us was just built that has black trim inside and out.

Living in a beach community some neighbors thought it was too dark. Well it looks gorgeous. The builder let me in a few days ago to see the inside and I love it. It has off white walls with muted slightly distressed black trim.

The outside is 2 shades of light gray with the blackish trim.

He said he wants to do the front door a color and is leaning towards a yellow.

I can't wait to see the house when it is completely finished.

Re: Inviting Industrial Space

I often like loft or industrial spaces, but don't much care for this one. I can't put my finger on it exactly. Maybe it has to do with there being too many black metal beams, the stark white on the second level, the mandatory bike inserted into the loft space and the overall too contemporary vibe of the kitchen and furniture... I like a touch of black in any space and I too like the currently popuar black window frames, but other than the brick (which I'd prefer was older brick), the old leather Chesterfield sofa, and possibly the floor, there isn't much about this home I appreciate.

LOVE this and every thing about it--where my facsination for industrial came from, I have no idea--maybe a touch too  much black but I would live there in a heartbeat!!! I looked at it again and I think its the brick ---not really a fan of red brick ------

Re: Inviting Industrial Space

@stevieb I kind of question why the bike is upstairs.  Do they haul it down the stairs everytime they want to take a ride?
