Re: Incorporating Plates and Platters into Decor

[ Edited ]

No decorative plates here, but my husband's mom used to have a few.

Although she was evil to the core, I sort of fancied Professor Umbridge's office (Harry Potter movies).

I use some color with a platter/plate but not much.

I used to have the blue and white and floral plates but then the '94 earthquake did some redecorating.  I didn't invest again.

Re: Incorporating Plates and Platters into Decor

My husbands' family has plates on their walls; I say it's because they're British, lol. In our house, there is a WALL of plates. I hate it. There is no rhyme or reason to the plates; they are simply a bunch of plates he had sent to him while in the RAF (plate of the month). When I asked him why, he said it was nice to get mail when you're far from home.

And so, the plates cover almost one entire large wall in our living room. It's.....interesting to look at is the kindest thing I can say.
