If you had to choose just ONE: ironing? or garment-steaming?

I'm hoping to move into a very tiny new apartment before 2013 ends, and I'm trying to decide on buying either:

*an iron + ironing board

*garment steamers (handheld/compact & full-size)

I'm looking for ease, quailty, & a resonable price.

If you had to choose just ONE, which would it be? I'd love to hear your preference and the reasons why. Plus, any experiences you had with the item.
