Seems like if a person is living in a smaller home (like a lot of us), there still needs to be a relaxed TV room. Maybe there is one in this home - it's hard to tell, but if there isn't, then this formal LR wouldn't be very liveable to a lot of people! I don't mean to be negative, but something about this photo looks too staged and not very realistic. I wonder how often a dining area table for 6 would be used - seems lke a waste of space unless the person here does a lot of entertaining.I love the crown molding and fireplace though.

I like it @jubilant . We have a relatively formal living room and dining room and use the den for watching television, reading etc. That way the living room is always ready for visitors. The furniture gets a lot less use, too, so everything looks brand new...

Very pretty rooms. I'd remove the 2 stools though.

There are too many patterns in this small area.
Needs to be more harmonious so it doesn't look so crowded.

very pretty, but a little too formal for me!

This looks like a reception area. I do not like the tables in front of chairs.
