I think I have the look for my safari room

Spoiler

As some of you might know I have been looking for ideas for my safari themed room when we build on the spring. I want to thank you for all your input. I think I have it narrowed down to the look I want. If we were moving tomorrow I would buy these things. I like them all so much. As you know I already have the comforter and wall art for above the bed. Now I guess I just have to wait and hope they still have these things when I am ready.  And I thought I would throw a picture in where our house is going to go. It's right next to that one in the picture. It will be to your left of that house.image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpeg

Wow, you are going to enjoy your new home and your safari room.  I love the items you have chosen.

I was at Pier 1 yesterday and they had some really great items that would look wonderful in your safari room.  I thought about you when I was checking them out.

@ccassaday  I love those items you've picked out also. That lamp is absolutely beautiful.

What a beautiful piece of land you will build on.  I can only imagine how excited you are to know this is all in your future.

I especially love your artwork and remembered you showed it to us several months.

I wish you a happy, carefree move.

I love your property, though that's a lot of lawn to tend!

Its 2.75 acres. My mom thought it was to much at 63 years old when they were looking. But the size of  subdivision lots were horrible and they were the same price. My dad is looking forward to getting a riding lawnmower. He had to borrow my uncles all summer to mow it. But he likes to do it and my parents are in really good health. If it comes down to it later we can hire someone or pay by nephew to do it.

Something else really cool about our property. We have a golden retriever. The neighbors on the one side have a Golden. The house in that picture they just sold their house. It looks like the people who bought it have a golden also. So Chloe will have lots of golden friends to play with. And we are thinking about rescuing a golden also once we get moved. It will be a golden heaven.

The first thing that caught my eye were wooden giraffes that were about six feet tall.  They were slim and looked really nice,  they had several to choose from.  They also had a lot of elephant things... even an elephant print  chair and curtains/ drapes and a zebra print chair too and a couple of elephant lamps.

There were many types of knick knacks  like bookends and statues.

My Pier 1 had a whole room like display set up with safari items.  It was very tastefully done and not whimsical at all.

Oh thanks. I just looked up some of these items. Those giraffe statues are cool. Might be something I can add down the line. I saw a cute pillow with a giraffe face that would be cute on the bed. I will defintly stick to what I have posted here but those might be items I can add later. Once I get a feel of what else will look nice.
