A few weeks ago I moved the furniture in my living room.  Now I found some drapes on Overstock (I have about 3 sets already which I rotate in my house), have ordered a new shower curtain and going to Target to get a wall shelf I found to put up in the bathroom.  I also got an email and went on Country Door and I would be in big trouble if I hadn't paid off my charge with them.  They have such a cute selection of home decor and good recipes too in their catalog.  I get in such trouble when I get in a decorating mood!

@hoosieroriginal

Here, let me put it into perspective for you, and maybe make you feel a little better about the whole thing.

Redecorating is fun (so that part comes out of your entertainment budget), it benefits the whole family (so it really is more of a 'sacrifce' you do to 'make them happy'), it helps maintain your property values, to keep a house in good order (investments are smart, and a home is most people's biggest investment, just protecting your investment), and it's a whole lot cheaper than buying a new house! LOL

There. Hope that helps. Maybe so much it gives you reason to do some more?

No better feeling for me than a "fresh" updated room in my home. I feel money spent on my home or love of kitchen items, home decor is cheaper than a "therapist" lol to give me a good feeling!

Enjoy re-freshening and shopping -- Spring is in the air!

(PS: my gf's were going to casino today I opted to stay home and shop for new wood blinds for my kitchen/family room instead of "donating this month" and believe me I make a donation every time we go!)🙊

PSS:  your not out of control just on a decorating roll -- you go girl!!!!

@homedecor1 - It really is therapeutic for me  - that's a good way of putting it (and justifying it Woman LOL

@Mominohio - Unfortunately, I don't need an excuse - I probably could use one!  I get lots of compliments on what I've done so far - so that makes me feel really great!

@ECBG - Thanks!  I love decorating and love crafting.  I make mosaic mirrors which I have all over the house in different forms.  You should teach again - I bet that would be a fun class!

I enjoyed your post.  I'm in the re-doing my closets phase and one project always leads to another project. When it comes to home decor I can lose my mind with purchases. ha ha! Two weeks ago I got my 20% coupon from BBB and decided I would replace an old wastecan with something "fancy". Well.......................that's how it starts and now I'm on the hunt for all the wastedcans in the house. I'm always pleased with the end results. Now I only hope my energy holds up eno -ugh to tackle the really big projects around here. Good Luck on your projects.

@Fressa - here is the shower curtain and a shelf I just purchased for my bathroom:  Going to make it a little rustic.  Putting the shelf above the towel bar on the opposite wall.
