@151949 Just curious, did it make much of a mess in the washing machine and the dryer lint trap?

@CelticCrafter washer - i had to use a damp rag to wipe it out but not as bad as I expected, dryer was a mess and I got in there with my hand vac and swept it up - only took a few min. Lint trap was Full.Today I am going to wash a load of towels so if there is any lint left that I missed they will get it instead of our clothes. If I have to I can shake towels out outside.

@151949, did you use flannel on both sides? The demonstration I watched on line showed her using flannel on the underside and cotton pieces on the quilted side. What did you use as far as fabrics? TIA

Mine only had oe side - the back is the other side of the flannel fabric - the seams are all finished because they were exposed on the front.

The one I saw and made did not have filling and backing - OMG it would be difficult to wrap around a baby with 2 layers of that heavy flannel then filler as well. Mine was made from a heavy flannel and was only the one layer. The back was the other side of the flannel.
