I love this for Fall but not sure I have the time or energy...

...might try and have it ready for next year. I have more Christmas decoration than I can use and have given away loads so I will not do a Christmas one, but I do love this Fall one. I have lots of brooches from my grandmother, mother and many things I have bought, some from QVC, whereby the pin part broke. So, they would be good for this. Some were quite expensive for fashion jewelry.

No offense intended but this reminded me of my grandmother's "craft junk drawer".

That drawer is a warm, embracing memory. I would spend hours going through the stuff gram put in that drawer for future craft projects. Broken jewelry, nickknacks, pieces of material, flowers, just about everything imaginable that could be repurposed as a decoration.

The eyes through which you see others may be the same as how they see you.

I really like that, too; great idea! It would be meaningful also, since the jewelry would have belonged to you or your loved ones. A couple of years ago, I took old pictures of both of my grandmothers and surrounded them with pieces of their jewelry in shadow boxes. They turned out great. This reminded me of those.

That's what it is made from and since you don't wear those brooches, make good use of them. Make a decor for a season using them.

Thank you. I have seen them for Christmas. I love this one for Fall. I have so much on my plate but I could take my time and have it ready for next season.

This is an interesting piece. I never thought of decorating (or making anything) with brooches and/or old, discarded pieces of jewelry.

Your post got me to looking into this type of craft work. Pinterest has some beautiful things! Very clever.

So pretty and creative @Nonametoday . My cousin's wife has something like that - her daughter had it made for her from old jewelry. They are even prettier in person. It catches your eye for sure when you see pretty jewelry framed.
