I used to do all of the painting, wallpapering, staining in my house.

I did it for the guy who was building my house (in his rental house we were living in while he was building our house.

I did papering for friends.  One of my favorite things to do was to paint...

You must have missed an important key word in my post.  The word is "USED".  With my arthritic hands it isn't easy for me to hold a paint brush for very long.

Not to brag but my speciality was 'cutting in with the brush'.  My late husband used to brag about how few paint mistakes I made with the paintbrush....Fast and accurate...Too bad I wasn't like that in other areas.  Ha!

It took me decades to realize I don't hate painting, I hate the preparation and the cleanup.  If I could hire someone for that part, I would do the middle part.

I hate to paint and I am messy at it.  I told my husband I wanted the living room, dining room, family room and hallway painted and he told me to hire a painter.  They cost a fortune but it may save a marriage. 

Your colors are lovely and I know it will be great when you are finished and isn't it a wonderful sense of accomplishment to know you did it all yourself?!
