@ceekay wrote:I have been really curious about reglazing. Do they just do the tub? Or is having the surrounding tiles reglazed also an option? Reading all the replies here it sounds like people have had both done (just tub and tub/tiles). Our tiles are neutral (1960s speckles on white) but look like 1960s... One tub is starting to rust around the drain. Plumber said it would take another 50 years to rust through. :-)
Maybe someone else can answer this. In my case, the tiles are in good condition, but they did recaulk the tub.

I wish my dd had gone that way! They used ReBath and they did a horrible job! They burned the new floor with some tool and it took my dd months to get reimbursed! Then, once they did, they said because they had to pay for the flooring the warantee would now be void! It cost $5000 years ago, and other than the tub, my dd purchased everything else! Now, the toilet rocks when you sit down!

My friend had the tubs and all the tiles glazed. They went from pink & black tiles and pink tubs to white. Looks great.

My Mom & Dad had this done in like 1985 and I thought it looked cheap - but it was better than they had before so they were happy with it. It was easy to keep clean as the entire tub & surround were all one piece that they just drop on top of what is already there. No seams , no caulking.
As for the rocking toilet - when we moved from our old house one of the things they came back with after inspection was that the toilet rocked - we called a plumber and he said ALL toilets rock and his fix was he put a plastic shim under one side. The toilet no longer rocked. He wrote "repaired rocking toilet" on the receipt - he only charged us something like $10.

We had our tub reglazed also. About $300. Guaranteed for a year. A year up - finish started to crack in a number of places, completely broke into pieces around the drain. When I can afford the Bathfitter replacement top for the tub we will get that. Very disappointing.
