Those turned out beautiful! I like the simple rustic look as well. I don't have any nutcrackers as I seem to collect Angels and Smowmen. 😊

@GingerHead Nice job on the nutcrackers and an A for effort on your posting of pics, I don't even attempt it, LOL!    I have that same type of wooden bowl on my dining room table with pine cones, little sprigs of red berries and red candle!  We have simlar tastes

  Well, it's been an ordeal (posting pictures) I tell ya! haha

I need things explained over and over kinda like a 2 year old, especially when it come to technology and computers!

 That's neat that you have the same type of wooden bowl on your table. I love that little dough bowl, it's my forever centerpiece that I change up depending on the season. I was thinking about posting pictures of my changing bowl decor....if I do you gotta learn how to post yours too!

I used a watered down latex paint, it's a brownish grey color I got as a sample from Home Depot as the base coat (bee tobacco).

  Then I used a darker brown acrylic to add shadow in the crevices and then I dry brushed with a light beige color acrylic to pick up the details.....
