So pretty. Hope you have many relaxing hours on the sofa. I especially love the lamp. I'm on a bird kick this year. I have birds/bird nests all over my house. And I've been taking pics of birds with my camera. I guess I'm just happy the difficult winter is history. Glorious springtime.

I have birds all over my great room, pictures as well, and 3 bird themed lamps. My grandson calls me the bird Nana. I even took one picture and bought one of those framed half bird cages and took the back off, sprayed it gold and glitter and added it to one of my pictures.

Very nice. The sofa looks very comfy, and I particularly like the lamp with the bird motif on its base. I need a new sofa SO badly, as our cat has clawed the stuffing out of ours; however, I'm worried that he'll do the same to a new one. The price of having pets.

Check out sure fit slipcovers. They have wonderful slip covers. They have a new one that has covers for the back and seat pillows. I used to have them because of my dogs but then I started putting quilts on them and only take them off when company is over.

I love it. I have a sofa that's a similar color.

Very nice, Moxie! I esp. like the cutaway on the sofa arm, it gives it a nice look. And I really like the lamp, the color and bird motif are great! And the chairs are really nice looking - I like the classic tufted look, but in a modern color like red. Looking forward to seeing pics someday of this big project - how exciting to be painting and redecorating!

I especially like your lamp. I have mostly turquoise accents in the accessories in my house. I just can't resist the color. I even have a turquoise chair and have a huge turquoise necklace draped over the top of a cone-shaped lampshade.

Hi mox!! Great sofa! And I'm loving the TQ and red! Go big with the color or die trying!!

I do admire your bird theme. Can't have too many. I know you are always on the cutting bird edge here! Did you get one of Val's new bird hurricanes with the flameless candle?

I used to cover my sofa's with quilts. I think the quilt you posted is gorgeous! I do love the TQ myself!! Is the quilt from Country Door?

I am going to begin a new sofa hunt myself. Going to retire the big olive green monster in our FR. Think I'm going with Lazy Boy; would love to have a recliner in one end. Thought I would check out the pet covers that strap to the furniture; think I saw them advertised at BB&B. Only one of my four Lhasa Apso's is able to get on the furniture anymore. Two are going on 13, and the two babies will be 12. I get teary eyed thinking about what's coming for them, and us. Thank goodness my kitty crew average age is 5. Sad to contemplate.

Right now I have an L-shape 3 pc sofa set, which is really big and fills the space. Not sure what new format I will choose. I'm still stuck in my French Farmhouse phase, so I'm hoping to find something that will fit in.

I'm interested in that sleeper chair; does it open into a bed?

It does fold into a bed. It has a deep foam mattress and it is very comfortable. The quilt is from overstock. Thanks so much for the kind replies. I can't wait to share pictures.

Very pretty, moxie. We have the same Flexsteel sofa in our family room, just a different fabric. We also asked for an upgrade on the cushions to make the more supportive. I keep a sheet over it at all times because the dog has claimed it as his. LOL

My son and I were out shopping on Saturday. He's moving to his own place at the end of the month so he ordered a new mattress set and rocker-recliner. We're giving him our LR sofa. We rarely use our LR so I'm going to take my time deciding on what I want to do in there. We definitely need to replace the carpeting, but I DO NOT look forward to what's involved there (emptying the cabinets and dealing with all the dishes/serving pieces). Still, it needs to get done. June is already filled up with weekends away, replacing carpet and redecorating the bedroom our son is vacating, and a big landscaping project. More stuff on the calendar for July and August. We might not get to the LR/DR until the fall, but that doesn't bother me.

I have all ready ordered a turquoise and red quilt to cover it until company comes over. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51TnLOGOXgL._AA160_.jpg

I am redoing my den as well. I will move the old sofa in there temporarily but will purchase a sleeper chair from Flexsteel to replace it. I sat on one yesterday and not only is it comfortable the mattress is one of those foam ones and so the bed is very comfortable. But money and time is a consideration and I like to pay cash so some projects will have to wait another month or so before I order. I will get it in red.http://www.fashionfurnitureco.com/img/products/Flexsteel/color/Key%20West_5541-41-m0.jpg

My next project is to paint the great room and kitchen a creamy white and the entry way wall red and the fireplace wall turquoise. All my friends and family roll their eyes at the concept but I like color. At least I am not painting all the space red and turquoise. LOL

I am hoping to get this done by the end of the summer and then I will proceed with the kitchen and the rest of the house next year.

Pretty quilt. Don't worry about your friends and family. You're the one who will be looking at it every day so as long as you like it that's all that matters.
