@Lucky Charm ... I'm with you except for the pets. The unused portion of the king-size bed is for them! (actually my old boy spends most of the night snuggled up next to me, and I love it!)

My BF said I "travel" around the bed until I'm in a deep sleep but also stayed up late in the night. It worked for us bc he was a night person and I was a day person. He'd lay next to me until I fell asleep and then go downstairs and watch TV or read.
When I got up, he was in the other room and later when I heard him stir I'd take a cup of coffee to him and we'd watch a few shows until he got up and went out for the day.

@GenXmuse @house_cat Yes, but be careful, they slept in twins, and ended up with Little Ricky, lol

@house_cat Growing up, I remember all of my friend's parents had separate beds, to prevent more children.

You're not joking? Was there a prison-type gate with a lock between the two beds?

@house_cat I don't know what that is, but they had twin beds, most were Catholic, and that was their birth control.

I'm imagining the only way for that to work would be to have a gate with a lock between the beds... otherwise, it's not a very long journey from one bed to the other. It must've been a very tough life in those days.. especially for women.

@house_cat Ooooh, lol, I get it now. Yes, even if there had been other forms of birth control, I don't think Catholics then were allowed to use them.
