I have lived in a rural area for 24 years. The closest mall is about 1 1/2 hours away. The only store within 25 miles of my home is WalMart, and 2 grocery stores. I know where every product is in each of these stores, and most of the employees by name. Small towns are like that! I do buy produce, eggs and meat all from local growers.
The reason I love QVC is because I do not have the luxury of living in an area with stores. I enjoy the forums because I learn about products and stores I did not even know existed. QVC keeps me some what up to date on fashion and styles. I am sure some of you will laugh at that, but here in "Mayberry" most people, male and female, wear sweatpants, hoodies and baseball caps as a fashion statement. Jeans, a leather jacket, and mules is being dressed up!
The post here about "American made" have piqued my interest. I think the only things I own anymore that are American made is my antique furniture and groceries!
How much do you buy that is made in America? How do you do it? How much more are you willing to pay for products that are made here?
