@Eileen in Virginia wrote:In Octboer we replaced 14 windows in our house and they finished in 1 day. This included total pull-out of the window in our main bathroom (we replaced the wooden frame with a composite frame) and lead paint abatement procedures throughout. While the drywall and electrical work add some complicating factors to your job, your contractor should be able to give you a firm estimate for the installation time.
Thanks so much for the encouragement. Have a good night!

Update: Got the window in today, but they had difficulties with cutting the new opening (main electrical line in the way..had to move it into the new header), notching out the old header, framing, making new header and many electrical problems. They are supposed to finish framing, insulation, siding, and drywall tomorrow.
They ended up taking most of my cabinets and countertops out and removing half the drywall to get at the electrical...kind of messy and noisy, but the window is in and I don't have a hole in the house tonight.
Wish me luck, have a good evening!
