I collect sea glass, but only keep shades of blue, green and white in chunky crystal bowls on my table. Also a white brick candle.

I have two very pretty brass star fish figures on the lower shelf that you can see from above.

I grew up in a house that had coffee tables. I always kept bumping into them bruising my skinny legs. I've always swore that when I am on my own, a coffee table would never the see the light of day in my house(s). I have kept that promise.

Now I have a leather storage ottoman sitting in the middle of my living room. Best living room investment I've made.

I have a couple ottomans, lids remove for storage. They are small and they get moved around. I usually have one in the corner of the couch & loveseat, and it has a tile tray on it and is so convenient for my coffee mug! I love to sit with my back against the arm, and my feet up on the couch or loveseat.

Oh my - I could never get along with cats. I think furry critters belong on the floor. I like dogs - they can be trained to stay off the furniture.

An antique covered candy dish I inherited from my mother in law and a large brass candle stick with a glass shade over it that was hers too.

If you had just one kitty who liked to elegantly grace the middle of your coffee table, then you'd have no need to find a centerpiece or whatever for it.

Some felines often resemble a statue anyway, as cats can relax, sleep, and nap like no other animal.

And although most can be trained, they just make it look like everything was their idea, LOL.

Yep, I know you enjoy dogs, especially the stunning and energetic Weims you once had. I'm thinking that you also enjoyed the William Wegman books, especially the adorable "Puppies" one. 8)
