Re: How does your fridge look?

Oh my goodness!!! At present I have 6 grandchildren, and 2 more expected next February, so my fridge is loaded to the hilt with pictures, artwork, love letters from them, greeting cards, etc. I love looking at it whenever I pass by. They love looking at all their things when they're at my home. I'd rather have a messy, cluttered, and loved, fridge any day! Perhaps someday when they're all grown, if I should live that long, I might decide to clear it off, but as of this moment in time...it's staying just exactly like it is...full of lots and lots of love offerings! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Re: How does your fridge look?

I have nothing on the top or front of my refrigerator. However, on the one exposed side I do keep a calendar and a some pictures of my grandson and my daughter. We took a small eat-in kitchen and remodeled it to have cabinets and counters on all of the available walls. I have lots of workspace and storage. I just don't have any large areas of wall space. And, if I didn't have a calendar in sight, I'd forget just about everything, lol. I also enjoy seeing the pictures of my family when I'm in there.

I can honestly say I will NEVER clear off my fridge. I have 8 grandchildren and one of my favorite fridge pieces is a stacked handprint that we make every year. I love those handprints and pray that I'm here long enough to stack great grandkid handprints on top!

Re: How does your fridge look?

I have many photos of loved ones (some of whom have passed) all in magnectic frames. Some from family gatherings and reunions, my children, grandchildren (updated regularly) and a great grandchild, and dear friends. Their faces great me as I work around the kitchen and I think of them often and spend time daily really looking at each photo, sending good thoughts and prayers for each. It makes me smile each time I see it...I see my loved ones every day...even if it is just in a treasured photo.

Re: How does your fridge look?

I guess mine would be messy. I have a small kitchen with few cabinets so I have to use the top for cereal and to keep food away from kitty. He likes to take 1lb bags of cat food out of the grocery bag and pull through the house and under my bed to open.

Small magnets on the top half with some magnetic phone numbers, a picture of my parents on their wedding day and my prized magnet - a voodoo doll a friend bought me in New Orleans, you stick a pin in it and it worked to get over a bad boyfriend!

The front of our fridge has a reminder chart for my husband of his daily insulin dosages; 2 insulins, 4shots each day. The side of the refrigerator has a clip that holds his VA appointment reminders. The top has a tray that holds insulin syringes. With a galley kitchen we utilize all the space we have.

Re: How does your fridge look?

My 21-year-old Kenmore fridge is almond-colored with a black glass front. You don't see much of the almond sides because the wall of the pantry covers most of one side, and I have cabinets on the other side.

I recently updated my kitchen (due to a flood). Thank goodness I did not have to replace any appliances. I have a GE Profile stainless dishwasher and stainless stove with a black glass cooktop. Despite the age of my fridge, it works well with the decor and other appliances.

I have a covered decorative dish with a vegetable motif sitting on top of the fridge and that's it for decor. I like a clean look.

Fun topic!

Re: How does your fridge look?

I have a side by side SS refrigerator. The top has a flashlight (for emergency lighting), a decorative wine bottle container and a Longenberger basket containing bag clips. The one side has a dry erase board for needed grocery items; the other side has nothing. The front includes two small magnets (not ads) that were gifts.

I hate to see a frig cluttered with magnets or food items.
