Re: How do you find this room: inviting or cold, perfect , etc.

The room is very "busy" my eyes went all over the place. Needs a focal point

and some of the furniture removed. JMO. :-)

Decor?  Is that what it is?

I thought it was a tumbleweed.

@just bee LOL!  I have no idea, maybe they can burn it ??

Re: How do you find this room: inviting or cold, perfect , etc.

Architecturally, I think the room is beautiful. However, I think the decorating is kind of one-dimensional. My knee-jerk reaction to first seeing the picture was all I saw were legs--legs on chairs, legs on stools, legs on side tables and legs on that rather large coffee table.

For interest, a few solid pieces would break up the "leggy look". For instance a big ottoman used for a coffee table might work.

Again, it is a beautiful room. I would love to be tasked with decorating it!

Re: How do you find this room: inviting or cold, perfect , etc.

A very nice sized room, with some pieces in it, but again I would definitely not put plants in the fireplace, unless it is a non-working fireplace, and if that is the case I would use candles in there (flameless).

I am not a fan of the coffee table, nor the table with the books(is that some sort of covering?) With a little work, this room could have  a nice flow and be a great space for entertaining.. Hopefully those plants are real, I am not a fan of fake plants either...

I like a lot of what is happening in this room.

I would change the fireplace to a REAL fireplace, remove that table with the books completely, remove the stool and extra round small table, and remove the heavy drapes.

I think I would really like this space with those things removed.

Another too formal and staged room which I could never live with.  Not my style.

I would feel very claustrophobic in this room with all of the clutter.
