How do you decorate for the holidays?

Do you go with a theme?...color scheme or idea?...is it a collection of everything you love?...please share!

As for myself, my fave items for decorating during the holidays are more than one, so it's hard for me to find ways to incorporate it all without it looking cheap and just thrown together. I love having a red/white theme of lights/decorations (peppermint/candy canes and cardinals), love country/cabin/woodsy "stuff"...lol, angels and snowmen. Now, this year I'm adding a victorian/Dicken's area too. I think most folks would chose one of those themes and not all of them at once like I do.

Additionally, since I tend to decorate most anything that doesn't move, DH knows that if he stands in one place too long, he's toast {#emotions_dlg.devil2}
