How do you clean wooden blind slats?

We have lots of these wooden blinds. In the past, I've dusted them with a vacuum cleaner or by hand.

Is there another way? The dusting still leaves a bit of a film (which I can feel) on each slat, but I've never used water or a liquid cleaner.
